The space thing hungered.
It was as simple as that.
It landed on the planet, avoiding the wet parts, of which there were many, and found a lot of those pink things that screamed a lot.
Some of the pink things threw things at the space things.
It ate those too.
In the end it ran out of pink things to eat and turned it's attention to the wet bits.
It drank all the wet bits in due course and farted out the results of several days eating and drinking.
Then it left the faeces and urine covered planet behind it and departed in search of other beautiful jewels in the sky.
Farting once more as it left.
