Hello friends,

I've written a review for J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye on my personal blog. In the spirit of Holden Caulfield, I say put on your red hunting cap and please take a read of my review if you have the time.

Please feel free to use this place as a platform of discussion! I would love to exchange ideas and discuss one of my favourite novels! (If not my favourite).

I liked the review! Pity I didn't read the book when I was myself a teenager.

Hi Dreamwoven,

Thank you for the feedback, I certainly did enjoy writing this review! But knowing someone liked it makes me all the more happier.

It brought back a lot of memories (both good and bad) and certainly
Reading the novel at the early adolescence compared to now reflecting on it as I finish my adolescent years says a lot about the enduring textual integrity of The Catcher in the Rye. Sad thing is, every time I re-read the novel, I'm left feeling different every time. It's a double-edged sword, partly because though I appreciate the updated insight I have on the novel, it's personal proof of what Holden fears the most. Everything changes.

And that depresses me. It really does. (Sorry for my bad Holden impersonation).
