Wuthering Heights could still be about the present day as it deals with issues that are still found in society to day, such issues as social classes.<br>As we know Heathcliff is poor gpys boy from the back streets of Liverpool and Cathy is brough up in a rich background. Their love can only blossom in secracie and out of the view of society which the moors play their hidding ground. The same issues are still seen in to days time where a rich person would not marry a poor person as it would beseen as marring under their class and would not be exceptable. It is these issuse that make the novel a love story as Cathy cannot love Heathcliff in view of the world. So their love is not of this world but in the next!
