Pray not for your loved ones; go to them.
They may not be able to see; be their eyes.
They may not be able to hear; speak clearly.
They may not be able to feel; remind them you are real.
They may not be full; fill them.
They may be lost; lead them home.
Lead them home not on your back; let them walk, for they shall walk taller with every stride.
Know each moment, for they may be confused.
Be a beacon, certain and bright.

Pray not for patience; you are patient.
Pray not for strength; you are strong.
Pray not for courage; find something more important than your fear.
Pray not for wisdom; wisdom will come with time.
Pray not for yourself.
Pray to understand life.
Live like you mean it.

Some sit in dark rooms.
Some sit in rooms of light.
Yet,
we all seek a door;
a door to satisfy our hunger;
a door to fill our holes;
a door that leads us home;
to truth.
