are we a pill society ?
we cannot do without taking a pill to manage anything from sleep depravation to losing weight.
there is a pill for everything.
are you do you take pills as a part of your ''five a day'' routine?

please discuss.

Yes, of course. I have a chronic heart complaint, so am just glad to have lived to my mid-70s, when every day is a bonus. The pills are an important part, involving beta blockers, and a pill that gives me an undisturbed night's sleep.

Its not an ordinary sleeping pill, it is called Mirtazapin. I had open heart surgery in 1999, then a stroke in 2010. I take other medicines, too.

I take whatever vitamins my wife thinks we both should be taking. The same goes with a diet. If she's on one, I'm on it also.

I would stress that all medicines I take are on prescription, with dosages authorised by my doctor.

I don't take any pills, I usually try to avoid medicine unless I think it necessary. Then my husband will argue with me for being stubborn when I refuse to take an aspirin for a minor headache, I'd rather suffer through it.

Taking a pill when needing
I don't know why the Flagel medicine still in use. Doctors after doing a surgery for me the month ago when I suddenly have been injured by a blast of mortar then have been evacuated for hospital to Erbil and there high dozes of Flagel likely as fluid to give through vein. But when I knew the side effects as (headache, nausea, inappetence, confusion on seeing and it makes the mouth as metallic taste).
These mentioned side effects are too much to be endurable but doctors said that it is the only medicine, which affects on anaerobic bacteria and you need to take it here I was satisfied to endure all its bad effects.
Will I ask a question is not there any medicine acting on the anaerobic bacteria than flagel?

I have wondered this also. I don't take any medicines, but it seems like everyone else does. Some people seem to think that medicine is necessary for life.

I try to avoid them like the plague but am usually forced to take antibiotics every time I get a cold by my doctor hubby. He pops pills like candy, but assures me they are completely necessary. I take vitamins at random intervals, probably not very effectively because I often forget.

Mohammad, I'm really sorry to hear that.

I take one pill four times a day of a nerve blocker, otherwise I would kill myself. It is that painful. With the pill I am like normal. What would you choose?

Once the docs start putting a worried patient on medications, they are on what I call the pill round. The doctors are guessing at the condition and guessing at the treatment. They try everything to see if it works--the pill round.

I do not want on that pill round. I saw a lot of my friends and acquaintances get on it and never be the same again. People on the pill round are essentially shot, as in used up.

That nerve blocker pill seems to work for you, desiresjab. My mother was on multiple pills, some of the pills to offset side effects of others. I wondered if they were really helping her. An alternate method might be mindfulness and meditation. Although I think it has helped me, I am not taking any medication and so I don't know if it would work if my circumstances were different. I don't even know if I am doing the mindfulness or meditation right or not.
