These crooked teeth
in the bathroom mirror,
gritted back at me,
as a daily reminder
that I can only regret
those younger days,
where I got off lightly
on each trip to the dentist.
Smugly travelling home
in my mother's car,
my sister, forlorn
in the front passenger seat.
Her teeth
aren't crooked any more,
mine are.
in the bathroom mirror,
gritted back at me,
as a daily reminder
that I can only regret
those younger days,
where I got off lightly
on each trip to the dentist.
Smugly travelling home
in my mother's car,
my sister, forlorn
in the front passenger seat.
Her teeth
aren't crooked any more,
mine are.
