As an Engllish major,I read WH when I was a sophomore, but that was nearly 20years ago. At that time, what impressed me most was the desolete moors and the cold weather. I could help thinking how can people live in such extreme conditions. And then, H's revenge began to leave me deep impression . Several days ago, I watched the film of WH, but this time I was greatly moved by the affection of H towards C, who married to enjoy the material life. And I began to become interested in the Jipsy's life in Great Britain at that time, for in the film H was roughly treated and mocked for being a Gipsy beggar. I am thinking of taking up the topic of Gipsy's life in other litererary works.
