I think this book is trying to put across the piont that youu should marry for love not money or to hurt somebody or make them jealous. The bad thing aaboout Cathrine is that she lets riches get in the way of her true feelings about Heathcliff. I only saw the old movie and would sometime like to read the book. It is kinda wierd about all the drama in it the could of cut down on it a little. You Know abou the hatred and killing, and death-life situations. It is a little too gloomy and depressing. Hethcliff getting rich is wierd its sorta like th e twilight zone like the tables turn on Cathy. She could of had riches and Heatcliff but was to greedy in gettin luxury.
