And next there was this huge explosion
And I mean hu-u-u-ge
From just over the river
So I stopped what I was doing
Whatever it was that I was doing
Because I couldn't remember what
Not even if you asked me
Not even if you hypnotized me
And filled my gills with sodium pentathol

Anyway I stopped doing that
Pretty much instinctively
Because of an enormous cloud of smoke
Billowing above
Blotting out the sun
And a sort of rumbling earthquake
Beneath my feet

I noticed the factory
That was there
A minute ago

Wasn't

Not just hidden in the plumes
But completely gone
Vanished
Obliterated
Erased from existence
Smashed to smithereens

And then it started to rain
Wet droplets
But then huge concrete boulders
And twisted steel girders
Shattered glass
Limbs
Hands
Feet
Heads

Don't know after that
I was out of there
Racing to other side of the hill

Just had to get away
