The 1981 Brideshead Revisited mini-series was better than the book, in my opinion.
The posh accents, lush gardens, beautiful mansion... these are conveyed more forcefully in film. I thought the book would be more detailed but it isn't, and reads more like a summary of the mini-series than the reverse.
