i had to read this book for year eleven english and even though i understood it all, i just didn't like it at all. i can understand how many people can enjoy the book but i thought that for a romance story it was way too dark and hateful. every second chapter is about heathcliff trying to get revenge on someone or how much he hates something. i would only recommend this book to people who either have to read it, or people who enjoy old style gloom books. not a good book to read if you are feeling depressed!!
