At first glance the quote "War is piece, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is strength" is a bit confusing. You're probably thinking how could war be peace? War is peace means that the enemy is what is to be focused on. An example from the book is the Two Minutes Hate. For two minutes participants focused on the enemy and showed extreme patriotism.Another idea of War is peace is that in order to have peace there needs to be war in order to resolve the conflicts. freedom is slavery id responsibility. It's a sacrifice for your country and its so hard, its slavery. Ignorance is strength means that what you don't know won't hurt you. Or what the government tells you should not be questioned. If you don't know anything than that 'thing' can't hurt you and if it can't hurt you then you'll be stronger. Thank you for reading and feel free to respond.

These paradoxes are what Muslims in the modern world struggle with on a regular basis. Waging jihad against everyone while saying Islam is a religion of peace; infidel women are 'slaves' of men and advertisers by showing their hair and bodies for public view rather than being cocooned within veils within walls away from society; and ignorance of science and facts that contradict Islam makes the believer have strong Imaan (faith) by not doubting their beliefs.

War is peace makes sense because war is a destraction that may make us feel at peace. Ignorance is strength because we feel less pain about what we don't know like as children and how we are oblivious. Freedom is slavery because it is a responsibility, and we are still pressured with government.
