I am taking an interpersonal communication class and have returned to my trusted litnet as an alternative to the "chat rooms" found elsewhere for this task. I need 3 adults that work full time to answer 5 questions for me about work relationships. This should take 10-15 minutes of your time and I would be grateful for your assistance.

1.What profession are you in? Manager in a Chemical Plant
2. What is a positive work relationship you have? I have a good relationship with the maintenance supervisor
3. What is a negative work relationship you have? I have a poor relationship with the safety supervisor
4. What are the benefits of work relationships? When you know someone well you are able to more easily see their point of view
5. What are the consequences to having work relationships? There are many ....both good and bad. I'm not sure how to answer

2. What is a positive work relationship you have? With most of my clients/students

3. What is a negative work relationship you have? On rare occasion, a student is unwilling to work with me because they feel they are forced to (rather than by choice)

4. What are the benefits of work relationships? Getting to know my students as soon as possible is crucial and it helps build trust

5. What are the consequences to having work relationships? It is a delicate balance while being friendly not necessarily to be friends with my clients so as not to cross certain boundaries and keep building a relaxed working relationship.
