I went to the Crow Bar to talk to some crows
About serious matters like fingers and toes.
The Bouncer Crow warned me, "We don't like people here,
But you seem OK, go pull up a chair."

I thanked him kindly then went to sit down
Beneath a picture of a crow in a crown.
"That's our friend Gerald," the Crow Tender said,
"He passed on last year, wasn't right in the head."

Some crows were engaged in some serious discussions,
With topics like racism and how about those White Russians?
"Those crows are strange," a regular stated,
"Their views are obtuse, and surely outdated."

"Now, now," said another, sipping his brandy,
"Some of their views I find rather dandy."

"Not all the world is white and black,"
Chimed in another with a glass of cognac.

Other crows were working on mathematical equations,
Working out their mathematical frustrations.
An expert presided over the exes and whys,
A master who'd won the Crowlitzer Prize.

After a while it was time to go,
I thanked my new friends and tipped the Bar Crow.
"Don't be a stranger," the Bouncer Crow smiled.

I promised not to be.
