I'll tell you what I know about the Spring,
When cackling rivlets play
And tease at tag all day,
And feathered Valentinos come to sing.

I'll tell you what I know about the stars,
Those celebrated lights
Where sailors set their sights
And seers read for emperors and tsars.

I'll tell you all I've learned about the moon,
Which even when it hides
Bends moods and tugs at tides,
As choirs of ukuleled vampires croon;

Whose phases Yeats made mythology of;
Which plaintive Byron sung;
Which in the sky is hung
For all to contemplate and stands for love.

I'll tell you all I know about the truth,
The thing we argue most
And trumpet out a host
Defending with our knowledge in its youth.

I'll tell you what I know about the laws
We call universal,
The low-hung fruit we sell
Past expiration date and eat with flaws.

I'll tell you what I know about the Fall,
When apples thud to ground,
When bears sneak back around,
With earth in orbit far from yearly stall,
And women sing, and food abounds for all.
