I like to write but my writing never flows easily. I often donīt know how to go on with the text.

In Portuguese. But I donīt think that the language is the problem.

I write in English (with a few terrible offerings in broken French). My journey started with a blog ~ 2003 and participating in the Poetry in Motion and Haiku contests that were online prior to 2009; posting my poetry and reflections in my blog. I've always been a logophile. I devoured pages in my parents huge 2-volume dictionary and 20+volume Encyclopedia set long before I could read; and became even more enamoured after learning to read.

The daily Poetry in Motion contest consisted of making "poetry" out of 20 or less alphabet or word "tiles" in French or English in a java app (if I remember correctly); the Haiku contest consisted of creating a Haiku inspired by a picture or photograph that the website offered daily. I found using theses minimalistic forms quite fun and challenging... and cathartic.

After the web site for the contests dissolved ~ 2009 I found LitNet by happenstance and my passion for the written word rekindled as I continue to read, learn, and craft my poetry; which I currently post here on LitNet and on a free googlesites web page. I have hope of self publishing via Amazon eBooks; having started and stopped ~3-times. Some day!

Ta ! (short for tarradiddle),

Endless

And what's your journey like?

Im amazed how well you people write in English. Good English prose is something that is quite natural on this site. From good prose to poetry it seems not to be so far a journey. Maybe itīs a matter of personal sensibility to express oneself, and affininity with rhyme and meter.
Iīm also astounded how many sites still exist in English to improve writing: nano flash writing, and so on.

I am guessing efficient. I write to the minimum so the meaning is to the maximum.

could you write something in Portuguese?

Sure. To write Portuguese is easier for me than English, but even in Portuguese I donīt find it easy to write essays or so. Do you speak another language besides English?

Hello:

I like to write, but it isn't easy. My big problem is the inspiration. When I try to write a story, I can start to write line after line but I suddenly stop and can not go on. I don't know what write.
