Hello,
I still have problems with listening in English and find great difficulty in understanding songs and movies .
It frustrates me and can't decipher the words even if I go over the songs again and again
:frown5:
Recently I decided to watch one movie per day without translation so I can improve my listening skills. However, watching became so boring and frustrating .
It teases me so much and can't continue.
Do u think looking for movies with subtitles is good for listening or I shouldn't read while listening ?

I would use subtitles and I would listen to the song until I had it memorized. I would do something similar for a movie without the memorization. For what it is worth there are songs written in English that I do not understand.

Here's an example I heard in a restaurant a couple of days ago by Aerosmith, "Dream On": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wzic15m7YQ I don't understand the lyrics, but I like the song. Until I saw this on YouTube didn't have any idea what the lyrics were. For example, I heard "women" when he said, apparently if that video is correct, "with me".
