Distasteful but sometimes necessary. But why would one want to reject guns in general? They are useful tools. Are you suggesting rejecting because they can be misused?

Guns are tools that can be used for different things. While guns can be used as weapons, they are also useful for hunting to procure food to sustain life. While militaries use guns, they also used other tools such as tanks and thermonuclear bombs, and mant non-military epople use guns, so equating the two would be a fallacy.

good point but from the inset if one imagines a world without a military base there would be no ISIS either
the mean to produce guns and train to execute bullets is a mainly a military ideology.

the military is
a defense mechanism that implies something is about to go wrong.
it is the status quo for a coup d'etat with a major flaw
to incite opposition and ignite conflict
ISIS is as a result of it
whilst one nation thrives on military significance another thrives on exposing less of it but with a more defective result
to eradicate in order to composate.

If you own a gun give it to a criminal today. It is impossible to outlaw guns effectively. Period. They are easy to home manufacture. A whole cottage industry would spring up to serve the black market demands. Only people who really, really, really want guns would shop in the new mart. These are also known as criminals, who need guns to ply their trade. A criminal without a gun is like an olympic pole vaulter using an old metal pole of yesteryear. Who needs a gun more than a street criminal, other than a cop or a soldier in battle? That is why I say give the criminals your guns now and prevent this cottage industry black market from ever taking root. As a good citizen this is something positive you can do for your country, your neighborhood and your family.
