Some people say that hearing is the most important sense; others say sight. So, which of the senses is the most important to us? And how would our life be different without this sense? Regards:confused5:

What is your opinion, Mr Mahmoud?

I think hearing is the most important sense. What about you, Mr Pompey?

Of the five senses I value sight over hearing. I've known several people with very limited hearing and it seemed more of an inconvenience to them than anything else. And the few completely deaf people I've known have had minds that moved very fast--presumably because they were not slowed down by the rest of us. Going blind would be endurable, but it would be a much bigger cataclysm to me than deafness.

Why is this under "Teaching"?

I do not know. And since Mr Mahmoud just left, he cannot say. My guess is that he did not understand.

Oh, this is a question for discussion and I thought it would be the right thing to discuss it here. So, if this is not the right place, where else should I put it? Regards.

My advice would be to go to General Chat and then choose Serious Discussion.

It's not the topic that was out of place, it was the question. There are obvious practicalities to be solved when teaching the partially sighted, the blind or hard of hearing.
