Your poem gave me a flight of fancy to google "reprise" and I checked out the first hit at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reprise_(film). Hadn't heard of the movie, but then I don't get out much, it seems to fit your premise nicely. Hadn't read the term "ace" in a while except in the context of a hardware store chain; I hear the colloquial "e" word once in a while... not referring to me of course.

It's a mystery. I didn't know what to make of his thread until your hint that a poem was there previously. It was a 'limited time only' poem or maybe what he wrote no longer felt right to him so he erased it. "Reprise" is like a "comeback" or a "sequal" or "one last stand" as I understand it.
