Life's not easy for a poor posh boy
Speaking the Queen's English
around those that don't
Folk will call you posh or gay,
or toff, or snob, or poof
But it doesn't mean any of that
Speaking properly, as you were taught,
living in an ordinary house
on an ordinary street
Life aint easy for a posh poor boy

Nice but not too Posh. The closing line wraps it up

There are a number of ways that last line can be read. Irony, defiance, a mask slipping? I always think of Lord Peter Whimsy saying "ain't," in his Post WW1 incarnation of the posh trenches educated egalitarian detective, who, with his loyal, working class Tommy ex-batman, Bunter, always defended the down-trodden middle class, of course... ;)

Thank you Delta40 & Hawkman, feedback really appreciated once again. I hadn't considered that point myself Hawkman, but that's a really interesting parallel you've drawn there
