I don't know what the motivation is behind this, but it sounds like the opposite of a suicide bomber's view of dying since they would want to take as many with them as possible.

It could be not wanting anyone around when one does die. That might be out of kindness or it could be a hostile rejection or punishment of survivors as one's last act. If it is a punishment of others, then it may not be all that far from the suicide bomber's perspective. However, it would not be as messy. The goal would be to break someone's heart not to splash it across the marketplace.

I do like the repeated "Or you" lines.

Huh! Sounds a lot like what I'm thinking at the end of a bad-hair-day (knowing that I'm shaved, I let you imagine how BAD I am on a bad-hair-day) when walking home and seeing all those trivial people doing trivial things (such as going home from work, just like I do). Really enjoyed your poem because of its clear message, that got right through to me, and its efficiency.
