Anyone watch Tv show Lucifer ? Its really Incredible.

That must be an American programme: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer_(TV_series), very recent. Worth keeping a look out for us Europeans.

The only thing incredible about it is the ability of TV executives to turn any concept (literally any) into a dull police procedural drama.

They had a really great idea (a charismatic and world-weary devil passing time in the human realm) created by a superb writer (Neil Gaiman) and evolved out of a complex and well-fleshed-out narrative universe (The Sandman), and fronted the whole thing with an excellent and underrated actor (Tom Ellis) - and they still managed to make a complete hash of it by removing almost all of the mythology and inexplicably teaming up the Father of Lies with an incredibly dull and two-dimensional detective who conforms to every hollywood cop stereotype out there (Beautiful but driven? Check. Complicated family life? Check. Traumatic past? Check. Puts work before personal concerns? Check. Is the only one who wants to find out the truth about an old case? Check.)

Yes, I do watch it, but as Lokasenna says it is a brilliant concept but not very well done. I would like to see more of the Lucifer characteristics I associate with Gaimans character. Tom Ellis is good and I enjoy watching him but I think there is something lacking. I also want to know more or have more glimpses into the cop and why he has no influence on her.
