would it help genesis if people knew some of your favorite literary works?

There are extensive resources online about the minimalist movement and the various painters, authors and composers associated with it. I always felt William Gibson was fairly minimalist, in that he had honed his skill at removing everything not strictly necessary from a sentence--even basic aspects of syntax and punctuation--and simply and effectively delivered description, visual, mood, and meaning.

I love:
Hamlet
Heart of Darkness
Catcher in the Rye
20,000 Leagues under the sea
Great Expectations
Moby Dick
Siddharta

Also into comics, but none of the tattoo designs I googled seem minimalist and simplistic.

I have a tattoo on my left shoulder blade of a spear being shaken... you can guess what it represents...

You don't want a sentence or something like that from one of these books? I have always wanted to put a quote beneath my spear cause no one gets it.

You have a few books there that have something to do with ocean travel, maybe something aquatic from one or more of them.

I think all the more so if you yourself have a spirit of exploration...
