Holes was very good ,but the two books are very different. H.G Wells' focus was more on class stuggle and where the world was going. The characters are less developed because the story is more important. Holes was more Character friendly, the author developed each one and then put that wonderful twist that conected all the characters. Keep reading there are many other great authors out there.
