I had to read this book for my English class. After you getpast the greusome aspect of the story, there are mant jewels of wisdom to be found. WE are required to write a paper on the connection between religion and the book. Here werte my findings: Moreau is "God," while prendick theoreticall plays the atheist because he does ot believe in what Moreau is doing. Montgomery plays the "Half believer, " the follower who believes but in theory does not go to church. TRhe beast people, of course play the dedicated followers who sometimes slip up. The only glitch is that the real God is kind and merciful while Moreau is coldhearted and ruthless wityh a whip.
