Hello everyone.
My favourite reading topics are: Crime, journalism, espionage, intelligence and war, either novels or chronicles. I find them informative about what occurs into real investigations, bureaucracy, intelligence services, strategies, operations, missions, as well as technology and methods used in the years in which the novel/chronicle takes place.
However, almost every novel and chronicle I've ever read are about happenings occurred decades ago :( .
Could you please recommend some novels and/or chronicles about (or based on) recent happenings? eg. Middle East happenings, modern espionage, central and south-america, Africa, Asia, terrorism.
I would like to know why would you do (or don't) recommend what you've read about this topics.
I'm actually reading "A spy among friends: Kim Philby and the great betrayal" from Ben Macintyre.
Pardon my newbie English writing.
Greetings to all!
