Christmas Future, or another Blast from the Past?

Forgive me for another holiday "re-posting," but this one is so old maybe yours truly can get away with it!
I'm not primarily an SF writer, but this one emerged after speculating what would happen if the War on Christmas is successful. I'll try to post a new holiday story or two before the Season ends, unless I get run over by a reindeer. Wassail!

I agree with the boy about eating birds. Hopefully by the time we reach the future we will have learned that civil liberties cost less to maintain than thought police.
