"Tell me, little child, are you sad?"
"I am."
"Why are you sad?"
"I don't have a purpose in life."
"Then find one."
"Is it that simple?"
"Yes, it is that simple."
"I already tried everything."
"You didn't try everything."
"How could you possibly know?"
"I know it."
"How?"
"Because you didn't find your purpose."
"It is not that easy."
"Let me tell you a story. There once was a man who was very lonely."
"Why was he lonely?"
"He lost everything he had. His family died. His friends died. He lost his existance."
"What did he do?"
"He was desperate. He searched for the purpose of life. But he was unable to find it."
"Because it is not simple."
"He kept searching. Ages passed. He lost his motivation. And eventually he wanted to end his life."
"Did he end his life?"
"No, he did not end his life."
"What happened then?"
"He met someone."
"Who did he meet?"
"He met another person."
"And what happened then?"
"I don't know."
"Tell me, how does the story end."
"I don't know how it ends..."

He took the child by his hand, walking towards the sunset.

"...but maybe we can end it together."

Very interesting. I like the ending a lot in that it's very ambiguous; it could be heart-warming - or it could be chilling.
