I note the obvious differences
in the human family.
Some of us are serious,
some thrive on comedy.

Some declare their lives are lived
as true profundity,
and others claim they really live
the real reality.

The variety of our skin tones
can confuse, bemuse, delight,
brown and pink and beige and purple,
tan and blue and white.

I’ve sailed upon the seven seas
and stopped in every land.
I’ve seen the wonders of the world,
not yet one common man.

....

We are more alike, my friends,
than we are unalike.

Nice poem. I agree. We are different leaves from the same tree. I liked the phrases "others claim they really live/the real reality" and "lovers think quite different thoughts/while lying side by side" the best.

thank you . despite all the differences . in the end we are from the same tree as you said ;
might our lifestyle differ our thoughts and looks , hence that whats makes each one of us special for being what we really are one tree with different leaves
leaves colors change via seasons
acceptance keep the tree leaves united against the winds
therefore we all live together peacefully.
