A story doesn't need to have glory, but a very good story must comment in some way on something of some import' although the important matter can be implied.

A very good story doesn't need to comment on something in some way or of some import; that's what an essay is for. The purpose of a good story is exactly that: to be a good, well-structured story, hopefully with memorable characters, that engrosses and/or entertains the reader.

Not usually, usually the antagonist is made to look bad, while the protagonist is glorified, but there are exceptions, or examples where it is ambiguous which character is the protagonist or antagonist.

And, pertinently, one might ask if a question has reason (i.e., does it make sense) if it has rhyme. . .
