Jacaranda blooms
falling
Violet on the green grass
and there goes another
part of my memory.
As a lone honeyeater
takes flight,
I see butterflies
flutter on the soft breeze,
Pongo strolling across the roof,
the washing billowing in the wind.
I ought to say 'bye bye'
Soon there will be no colour left.

Now I'm going all bitter/sweet.

I liked this a lot - there's some very vivid imagery here, and that last line is a real killer. I think 'honeyeater' might be one word, though...

Nice unexpected ending about the color leaving.

I imagine this from the aspect of having already fallen and waiting for the imminent loss of consciousness. Pray you are well.
