This is my personal hell,
And I'm welcome to stay
To repay mistakes never made
And to give my broken wings away.

They say it's far to late for me to fly,
That I can't ride along the clouds,
The sun and the sky.

The Cerberus is deaf and blind,
And so is the keeper,
But their fangs will still find
My heart and keep her.

Am I homeless or is this home?
Am I lifeless or never been born?
Is this a bolt or just a splinter?
Am I cold or is this winter?

Personal Note:

Hello Community,

first off, I'm from Germany, so you might excuse my language.

this is my first post on this board and I'm not sure on how active I'll be in the future, but I wanted to share my creation.

I wrote this poem last night. Sometimes I just have an urge to throw my thougts onto a sheat of paper. I personally think, that this is my best work. That doesn't mean that I think it's anything special. But it comes from deep within me. Also it's the first real poem, that has a deep metaphorical and emotional meaning beneath every line. Anyway, feel free to share your thougts and interpretations or ask questions.

Welcome !

They say it's far to late for me to fly,
That I can't ride along the clouds,
The sun and the sky. It's never too late to soar IMHO. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, tailor :) I'm starting to realise this. But it needs time.

Welcome. You will find this a very friendly place. Folks here actually offer responses to your work. Unlike some other places where people read, but say nothing, here you will find both help, praise and interpretation for and of your work. I am rather new here myself, and I am enjoying every minute. So, keep writing and do not be afraid to offer up your thoughts for everyone to see. There is great relief once you have found a place where people appreciate what you do.
