Warning: please do not read this if you have a problem with sex!

To be a great writer, all you have to do is **** the English language up the ***!

Note: please do not ban me from this Internet literary site for writing this, thank you.

And this is part of the reason that literary sites are dying and social media is taking off. Although many sites practice more censorship than this one...

What does this mean? Kindly consider this the finest sarcasm. Is English a bad language?

Is English a bad language?

In the argot of a now ancient English-speaking sub-culture, English is a "bad" language.

I like a good curse as much as the next hot-blooded adult, but censorship of swear words might not be the biggest problem literary sites face. To be honest, I didn't realize they were facing any major problems currently, social media somewhat cannibalizing "traiditional" forms online discussions notwithstanding. Literacy seems fairly high in our advancing world, and you have books like Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger games, getting young readers involved. The future of literacy, and its general discussion, seems fairly bright.
