to the touch,
as sandpaper smoothing
my hardened edges,
and breathtakingly
tender so you must
kiss away my tears
of pure euphoria.

I feel your heart
beneath my fingertips,
at moments hard as stone
with unwavering determination.
refusing to be moved,
fluid like water,
shifting with my tides,
submerging but
inpenetrateable.

Marked by both
defiance and give,
patiently unrelenting,
it leaves me insatiable
for you.
