In a time unbeknown,
I had been shaken from a deep sleep;
Another dimension,
Perhaps seen a thousand moons.
And in the space of a thousand phantoms,
Where appeared a scarlet angel
With a hundred flows of precious linen draped onto ivory mist.
Her eyes were alive with the depth of the brightest sun
And silhouettes of vapored water flowed from her mouth.
"I appear with good tidings,
As the former things have passed away;
I am a messenger of promise,
That you may see me and not be amazed;
For I am living and not an apparition.
"For you awoke, and here I be,
As the prophets had spoke of,
And now you see what await the faithful;
As the world did not know what this nature is.
But I am one of many that you may take comfort
For your dreams are no more, but living."
There she stood with a lantern in her hand, a messenger of God.
And her heart was pure with glory.
For she was made to be honorable and richly adored,
She did not cease to amaze all."
For she is an angel, an overseer of truth.
She guides the lost ships,
And her winds bring home the sails,
Yes, even through turbulence.
For this she had been appointed,
She is of beauty from the Lord;
My eyes have not seen a ghost,
But a beautiful living angel,
A seraphic host.
"For this very cause I have been fashioned,
To appease my Lord and do what's honorable.
These steps I walk on to the holy court, I pray for souls,
That I may be heard and you shall see."
And as a great trumpet her words spoke.
"I am your guardian angel, and I will watch over thee."
To the ends of time, where no cessation is;
The words rang out in joy,
As I saw my future secured by love;
To this, amen.
