Revolution

An idea pure and yet to be defiled
Of the day we all become equal,
Let me tell you young child
About those that will fight for the people,

The man who brandishes a silver tongue
Ready to speak for the oppressed,
In halls of justice where words are songs
He fights for equality and no less,

The man driven by his chivalry
To lead those who are lost,
A man who carries responsibility
For he believes in his cause,

A silent prayer for those who have fallen
Not only for us but for an idea,
For the echoes of truth may never be silent
These men will forever be martyrs,

And you most important of all
Let me tell you why it has to be,
For when injustice becomes law
Revolution becomes duty.

P.S. I have posted this poem on quite a few sites, twice on another alias 'SkidZChannel13' but this is MY OWN GENUINE WORK.

With that aside, I'd like to know what you honestly think! I have always been fascinated with the idea of revolutions. When a group of people begin to culminate an idea of not just independence physically, but independence of will. So in one night to express my thoughts, I decided to write this poem. I hope you guys liked it!

I also like ideas that have not been defiled. Which injustices are you specifically opposed to?

To be straightforward, anything that restricts the freedom of will by force to me is injustice.

EDIT: Oops sorry for not giving any specifics, I woke a bit groggily earlier. Basically, I have a real anger towards corruption by government officials aka pocketing the public's money. Nothing irks me more, not even murder. I can't seem to grasp what a person achieves by stealing money from the same people he's trying to help. Then we have the fact that people in power seem to think they are above the law! The same law they are officiating for! Coming from a country full of rampant corruption, I truly see the effects it has. I mean honestly every country has corrupt officials, but if you have a country that hasn't even been developed to a third of its potential, already getting its life sapped away by corruption....

*sigh* I'm sorry if I ranted there. I really just hate thinking of the idea that people would really throw away the welfare of others, just for the sake of their personal greed. To think you'd have government projects that make no sense like... building a pedestrian walk bridge for 20 million pesos (est. 500k US Dollar)!!! I don't get it. My country is the only Christian dominant country in Asia too, but I don't see the morals being implemented at all... Okay I ranted again, sorry for that!

So it is political corruption. Then going back to the poem, that is what should be stated more explicitly there to avoid ambiguity.

I don't think it would make sense with the rest of the poem if I did that, the ambiguity does well with that certain line. I think I'd just go write another poem on the topic of political corruption. Thanks anyways for your input!
