Hi there!

I'm Ralph, and I was born in the wonderful archipelago, Philippines. Although I am not living there anymore, I still have fond memories of spending time with my family in the mall. Yes I know, not the best kinds of memories you'd think a person would hold onto, but those are the most important to me. See when family day comes, everybody in your family drops what they are doing and decides to bond for one whole day. Doesn't seem much but to me it means everything. Yeah so that matter aside, I've actually only started writing very recently compared to most people. And my first grasp of writing came when I wrote the first chapter -which I have rewritten- of the book I'm writing. It came as a sudden idea, a need to express something inside of me. I'll admit it wasn't the most vocabulary rich of chapters, but the content was there. Time passed and the idea of the story I'm writing, Resurrection, started to form into something real. Something that wasn't an idea anymore, but an evolving world of its own. So I started writing more of it eventually getting to five chapters of 2k words each before calling on another break.

This time, that break would go on for a few months. Mostly because I was preoccupied with other things in life: sports, school, friends, and well life. And then suddenly, like some sort of intervention I wanted to write more. This time I was more focused, the idea in my mind has now became concrete and at the same time very vague. Why vague you ask? Well like the great author Stephen King said, he'd rather focus on where his characters take him than his vision of where he thinks the plot will go. That's me. Discovering new things about my characters, them becoming more complex the more I write about them.

I guess there's one real important thing that made me love writing in the first place. And that's escape. Yes, I see writing as an escape from this world onto a world that has been created by you. I was never the avid reader when I was young, all that changed when I started writing. My appreciation for the artform of creating fiction or how I like to call it 'Alternate Realities' has grown immensely. Though keep in mind, this passion has only been VERY RECENT so forgive me if I don't know about this famous author or this incredible book. I'd like to ease myself into the world of literature anyways, I don't want to force feed it into me.

There is probably a very minute percentage of you asking about my book *tumbleweeds*, it's actually a mix of various genres such as CyberPunk, Fantasy, Thriller and Sci Fi. I'd actually want some honest criticism on its chapters if some of you don't mind. Just chapters IV to X though because the first five are going to what do you call it.... 'Nuclear Rewrite'. And I'd very much like to have a mentor! Oh the idea of a mentor really fascinates me, I mean I have always been alone in doing the things I want in life, mostly because, I have parents who work nine to five jobs and as a child I didn't understand this, but growing up I realized I should take things into my own hands. You know what they say, the only thing you can control in life is yourself. So yeah, if anybody is willing to put up with the inevitable failures of a sixteen year old trying to write a trilogy and give him advice on how to not inevitably fail, message me! Seriously. Message me!

So I will just close this out saying, I'm a kid who wants to learn and honestly I always ask myself if I have enough time to learn everything in life whether it is trying to find a copy of the Divine Comedy (the local bookstore doesn't have it huhu) or trying to do that one Muay Thai Switch Kick. Oh yes I do MMA! So yeah, I guess thank you for being kind enough to read this whole little piece of me, it's still okay if you read only this last paragraph. I'd like to know more about you too!

Hope you all embrace me with open arms or impale me with bare feet!
