Odd Odyssey

How can so many people be ragging on the Odyssey? The first great novel ever written in history and you punks think it's boring? As a high shool freshman, I found the story incredibly intriguing and filled with everything a great adventure story would have: War, monsters , lust, rebellion: What's not to like about it?

Yeah, i agree with you. We have to read Odyssey in our English class too. By the way, we're freshman. Many people in my class do not like this book. but i think it's a wonderful literature! except the ending tho, i thought that was really cruel. well, but it's a nice book in overall.

compared to the book, the movie is crap (it represents the time period quite inaccurately)... the book is a classic, and should be read by everyone
