Hi Everyone, new here, and I was curious if anybody had novels or authors they could recommend that have themes regarding abandonment issues with mother or father figures.
I don't want to be too specific, but there are any novels where it hints or relates to how abandonment issues from childhood affect the character's later life in friends/romance, that would be great.
If the prose is written in a poetic manner, that would even be better
Overall though if anyone can recommend any authors or books with this theme, I would greatly appreciate it!
My tastes if this helps, ranges from anywhere between: Cristina Garcia, Vladimir Nabokov and Fyodor Dostoevsky.
