a la the hit thread (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?72867-The-New-LitNet-Top-100-Books) but restricted to the last 15 years
i have a lot of time on my hands right now so would be willing to compile. could be a thing where people submit top 10s which get scored reflective of ranking and books on unranked lists get 5 points each. nothing too formal, just a fun lil thing. would anyone be interested?

Here are some books that are recent that I wouldn't mind reading again. They would be on my top 10 list.
Stephen Mumford and Rani Lill Anjum, "Causation: A Very Short Introduction", 2013, philosophy of science
Dean Radin, "Supernormal", 2013, parapsychology
Lang Leav, "Love and Misadventure", 2013, poetry
Rupert Sheldrake, "The Science Delusion", 2012, philosophy of science

i'll probably set up another thread for the top tens if enough people show interest but thanks, yesno
although the collection method i suggested in the op would result in an uneven total distribution between ranked/unranked lists so ranked lists might be necessary

I would include The Goldfinch, All the Light We Cannot See, Atonement, The Road, among the top 100 of 2000-2015.

Personally, yes, if it came with a brief description of each, as I'm currently trying to fill the gaps (make that caverns) in my education by reading classic literature that I missed out on earlier in my life. So as for modern stuff, an accompanying description would enable me to know if a new-ish book connected in some way with said program of self-education. I would expect on this site that it would be the higher quality new stuff--not that I've anything against Stephanie Meyer, mind you. Apart from the fact that some barely literate bint made a billion dollars for scrawling stick figures on the back of a grocery store receipt with her daughter's crayons.

maybe we could get people to write blurbs for the top 20 or so?
