funeral reading from children's literature

Hello,
I am going to be doing a reading at my mother's funeral and was wondering if anyone could suggest a quote from children's literature. I would like something to lighten the mood, something involving animals. She was particularly fond of The Wind in the Willows, or something along those lines.

If you're mother loved Wind in the Willows, then you may want to choose a Kenneth Grahame quote for her on your own (more personal that way, right?) Here is a link with many Grahame quotes, and if you don't find what you are looking for there, just do a Google search on Kenneth Grahame quotes. I'm sure there are many other such pages. All the best with this difficult but honorable task. :)
