The Odyssey was needlessly complicated and all the translations I've read were dull and boring, but according to many of the people I've talked to that also read this book, the original text was boring as well. I guess it's what I get for trying to read a book about Greek Mythology. This was almost as bad as Shakespeare's Merchant in Venice...and that was one of the worst books I have ever read....
