As the title suggests, I'm wondering if anyone rates Sallis' work and if so where to start? From Amazon reviews I've read he seems to have a minimalist style, some have drawn paralells to McCarthy (for prose not content), yet despite his prestigeous reputation I cannot come to understand the popularity among critics of him work, having read Blood Meridian a quarter the way through I had to shelve it.
But McCarthy aside, any comments reference Sallis' work would be greatly appreciated. This is my second post and I'm finally greatful to have found forums where one can indulge in the passion of literature. I do not know about anyone else on here but finding a common interest among peers has proven to be rarer than hens teeth.
