When the journey began years ago
Surrounded by people you didn't know
Everything was so brand new
But you knew what you had to do
Sometimes adversity strikes and things don't go as plan
That's when you look in the mirror and say "yes you can"
Suddenly everything falls into place
And you begin to recognize the faces
Strangers become your closest friends
The ones you keep with you till the end
Waited all this time for graduation
Elevated your mind, for higher education
You give it all you need
Because all you want is to succeed
You might think it's the end,It's just an assessment
It's only the beginning
Guess that's why they call it a commencement
