I feel like I have trouble showing detail in my stories. This was just a little practice on that. Please let me know what you think. I would love some advice.
Illusion or Madness
Do you see what I see? The gentle stream, bending this way and that. The towering oaks, waving their branches in the warm summer breeze. The birds of all colors; red, blue, green, singing their songs of life below. The young couple laying in the lush green grass, holding each other in a loving embrace.
Or do you see past the illusion? Do you see the madness beneath? The raging rapids smashing logs against jagged rocks. The bare, skeleton like trees bending and cracking from the force of howling winds. The crows, ravens, and other carrion eaters squawking out their glee for the death below. The young couple watering the dark grey ground with their blood.
