Seeing her was the first warm day after a long winter; It was familiar yet ever so new in the moment. It had been years since they had parted ways. 578 days 12 hours 3 minutes and 50 seconds. And not a single second wasn't spent thinking of what he should have said. He rehearsed the words a thousand times in his head. How he was sorry. How stupid he had been. Yet in here in this moment he couldn't even say hello. To see her smiling as she boarded the B train out of town with a suitcase in one hand and he guitar in the other all he could do was stand, waiting for the A train back to his cubical. She had seemed so close up to this moment, He always knew where to find her when the project ended or the paperwork was finally caught up. But as he watched the train pull away he finally felt the distance. He boarded he train, and pulled away from the station.
