I generally wouldn't read a book based solely on the title, but I do like to avoid knowing too much about it beforehand. I generally just try to look at enough opinions to decide whether it's worth my time, though I'm not as concerned with knowing about the actual premise or plot in advance.

Most of the new books I buy are ebooks from Amazon. I always check the blurb and in-book reviews there. I usually ignore the Amazon customer revues (or most other reviews) until after I've finished it. But no, never just on a title.

Lots of books don't have "blurbs" so yes, often. Usually I have read a few random bits first or heard of the book or author.

Yes - far too many to name, but I have bought them all based on their reputation. Either the reputation of the book or the reputation of the author.

i like the feel of a book
because turning a page
is a pleasure of its own :)

I agree, but I travel quite a lot in my retirement and can no longer lug a heavy library around with me. I take almost 1000 ebooks with me every time I fly on a plane just by carrying my Ipad. I've given most of my once-huge paper library away to public libraries, although I keep some old treasures at one residence or another.
