Right now, I am reading the Odyssey translation by Samuel?Butler. I have not yet read the translation you are talking about but I will read it after I'm done with this...<br>Is the translation fairly modern (i.e. after 1900 or not?)

k i have read the odyssey many times and i enjoy it verry much i have also read many of the translations as well as a whole lot of my friends and we all seem to agree that the translation by robert fitzgerald is perhaps the best written and most wonderfull to read perhaps you should obtain that one.<br>
