I didn't know I had a talent. When I talk to a crowd the sound echoes. And I can see my voice in the breath I take. Like winter all around it lifts out of my mouth. The curtains pull to the sides. The night draws closer. Stars gather and the lights dim. I am and always have been an opera singer. My voice is a bird taking flight on the stage of life.
